This article provides the instructions and information you need to get started with Socialive when it comes to setting up your user account, accessing our online courses, and downloading sample creative assets you can use to create your first recordings with Socialive!

Setting up your user account
You will receive an email with the subject “You’ve been invited to participate”. Follow the instructions in that email to set up your user account. If you don’t see the email right away, please check your spam folder. For your convenience, we recommend that you bookmark https://portal.socialive.us/login.
Please note, our supported browsers are Google Chrome and Microsoft edge.
Using the Socialive Learning Hub
The Socialive Learning Hub is where you can access our collection of learning courses, how-to tutorials, product update content, and much more. All the courses are comprised of written information, videos, quizzes, and a practical assignment that is to be completed and submitted for review to your implementation manager
Accessing the online courses
Once you've created your Socialive account and you’re signed in, click on the ellipsis in the bottom left corner of the page, then click "Socialive Learning Hub" to access our LMS
Primary courses to get you started
There are three primary courses to help you get acquainted with Socialive. Depending on how your team plans to use Socialive, your Socialive CS team will specify the course(s) that will be the main focus as you’re getting started!
101 - Getting started with Socialive covers the basics of recording and streaming with guests live in the green room. The estimated time of completion is 45 minutes to 60 minutes.
102 - Managing Socialive guests covers how to manage guests in the platform. The estimated time of completion is 45 minutes to 60 minutes.
103 - Working with remote recordings covers how source recordings asynchronously. The estimated time of completion is 75 to 90 minutes.
Media assets to use with Socialive
We’ve built out a library of sample media assets that can be downloaded and used to create your first recordings. Assets include start cards, end cards, background imagery, audio overlays, graphic overlays, and much more!

For easy reference, here is a link to our networking and firewall guide which your IT/Networking team should already have in hand. If you aren’t sure if this has taken place yet or have questions, please contact your Socialive CS team for more information. This guide documents the ports that are used by the Socialive platform. We’re happy to help with any next steps here, if it’s identified that your Socialive connection is being impacted by any company-specific firewalls, VPNs, or other network environments.
