You can go live on Facebook with Socialive via an RTMP connection. This article provides instructions to set up your broadcast and go live immediately on Facebook with Socialive via RTMP.
Prerequisites
To schedule a broadcast to Facebook from Socialive, you need to:
Have access to the Facebook profile, page, or group where you want to go live
Be an administrator in your Socialive account
Process
On the left panel, select where you want to post the live video - your profile timeline, a group, or a page you manage.
Select the option to go live now. If you want to create a live video event, follow the steps in this help article.
On the left panel, under "When are you going live?" select whether you are going live now or later. You can go live now or automatically within 24 hours. If you select later, set the date and time you want to go live.
On the main area of the screen, under "Select a video source," select Streaming Software.
Under "Streaming software setup," copy the Stream Key.
Click on Advanced Settings and copy the Server URL.
In Socialive Studio, on the right-side panel, under Broadcast Live, click the Facebook logo.
In the pop-up that appears, click Add Facebook RTMP. You can also edit or delete an existing RTMP connection. For more information, click here.
Another pop-up will appear. Enter the information below and click Save.
Label - Enter the name/description of your live video.
Server URL - Paste the Server URL you copied from Facebook in step 7.
Stream Key - Paste the Stream Key you copied from Facebook in step 6.
Set up your broadcast. Make sure you start with a title card at the beginning.
When you are ready, click Start Broadcast.
Back in Facebook, you'll see the preview of your broadcast in the Video section.
When you are ready, click Go live.
To stop the broadcast, click End live video on Facebook. Next, click End Broadcast in Socialive. This is the correct way to end a Facebook live video.
